While sharing personal stories to inspire others is one of the main goals of journey.do, we understand that there may be some experiences that you are not fully comfortable sharing with others. That is perfectly understandable. In such a case, you have the ability to set your story to private before submitting it or after it is published.
When a story is set to private, only you (author) and your group facilitators can see your published story.
Steps for setting a story to private BEFORE submission:
1. On the Apply page, compose your story and click on Preview once done.
2. On the preview page, review your story and make sure that the criteria are met and the story was not copied from AI or other's story. Check the 2 boxes accordingly.
3. Choose the audience for your story. Select 'Private' if you want the story to only be visible to you and the group leaders once accepted. Click on Submit.
Steps for setting a story to private AFTER it was published:
If you have a story that was already approved but is set to public, you can still set it to private.
1. Go to 'My Profile' page to see all your stories that have been accepted.
2. Select the story card of the story you wish to set to private.
3. Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the card. Choose 'Update Story Visibility'.
4. On the pop-up card, choose 'Private' then hit Update.
Your story will then be removed from the feed and from the module where it was submitted so that others will no longer see it.
