In some groups, managed accounts may have been set up with a Two-factor Authentication (2FA) for a more secure login. In this case, the members will be asked for a 6-digit one-time password (OTP) when logging in on the learner app.
Members in secured groups can only obtain their 2FA codes from their group leaders or facilitators.
There are two ways to generate the code, but both places serve the same purpose. Follow the steps below to learn how to generate the 2FA code for your group members:
Generate code from Learner app:
1. In Journey, go to the Group tab and click on the member count link under the group name.
2. From the Members page, find the profile card of the member you need the code for. Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner and select View Authenticator Code from the pull-down menu.
3. A 6-digit code will be generated. Give the code to the member immediately as it expires every after 30 seconds and a new code will be generated.
Generate code from Champion Dashboard
1. From the Champion Dashboard app, go to the Users tab:
2. Look for the member who needs the 2FA Code and click the 3-dot purple button on the far-right side. Click Authenticator Code.
3. A screen with the 6-digit authenticator code will pop-up. The code expires after 30 seconds and a new one will be generated.
Important:
If the options "View Authenticator Code" and "Authenticator Code" are not displayed on their respective places as described above, it means that the 2FA isn't set up for the group or for the specific user. You may reach out to our support team and we can set it up for you.
