Champions can assign certificates to learners to guide their growth journey. Certificates can now be set as Assigned, Available, or Inactive, giving Champions more control over what learners see and are required to complete.
There are two ways to assign certs in the Champion Dashboard:
Option 1: From the Learner’s Profile Page
Step-by-step:
Go to the Champion Dashboard and click the Users tab.
Use the search bar to find the learner on the table.
-
If no certs are assigned yet, click the Assign Certs link under the Assigned Certs column.
-
This will open the Assign Certs panel, where you can:
-
Set the status for each certificate using the dropdown:
Assigned – The learner is required to complete this certificate.
Available – The learner can view and complete it optionally.
Inactive – The cert is hidden from the learner and cannot be accessed.
(Optional) Set a due date
-
Click Save
-
-
If certs have already been assigned, you will not see the "Assign Certs" link on the table. Instead:
Click the learner’s name to open their profile
-
Click Assign Certs from their profile page and update the selection as needed.
-
Assigned certs are visually represented as colored cubes in the Assigned Certs column of the Users table:
Gray = no progress
Yellow/Orange = in progress
Red = overdue
-
Hovering over the cubes will display the certificate names and progress.
Option 2: Assigning Certs via a Growth or Transition Plan
- When manually creating a plan, you’ll be asked to select certificates as part of step 1.
-
Click the field under Key Certificates to launch the selector tool.
- For each cert you want to include:
- Check the box to Include in plan.
- Use the dropdown to mark it as Assigned or Available.
- (Note: Inactive certs cannot be added to the plan.)
- Click Done to close the selector.
- Click Save Draft if you'd like to preview the plan. Click Publish Plan to finalize.
-
Cert selections only become visible to the learner after publishing.
-
-
On the final plan preview and printable version, certs will be grouped as Required or Optional for easier understanding.
