We’ve introduced an AI Content Detector to help reviewers understand whether a story appears to be written by the youth or generated using AI tools (like ChatGPT). This tool breaks down the content sentence by sentence and flags it as either AI-Generated, Human-Written, or a Mix of both.
Where to find it:
Go to the Champion Dashboard > Stories tab
Open the story you'd like to review.
On the right panel of the review page, you will see an alert in either Red or Green box.
1. When the story appears AI-generated:
You’ll see a red box labeled:
"AI Content Scan: AI-Generated"The message shows how many sentences were flagged (e.g., “6 out of 6 sentences”).
A detailed sentence breakdown includes:
Each sentence flagged
A 100% AI Probability label (or other % score)
You may want to follow up with the learner, encourage revision, or give feedback on the importance of original expression.
2. When the story is a combination of ai and human-written Content
These are stories that contain a blend of AI-generated and human-written sentences.
Each sentence is tagged individually so you can easily see which parts may have been AI-generated.
Encourage the youth to rewrite the flagged sentences using their own thoughts or words.
3. When the story appears 100% human-written:
You'll see a green box labeled:
"AI Content Scan: Human-Written"A message confirms that 0 out of X sentences were flagged as AI-generated.
You can expand the sentence breakdown, which shows each sentence with a ✅ human classification.
This suggests the learner wrote the story in their own words — no action needed unless the content raises other concerns or does not meet the story criteria.
⚠️ Important Notes
The detector is meant to support, not replace, your professional judgment.
AI detection is not 100% accurate. Some human-written content may be flagged and vice versa.
Focus on guiding youth toward authentic, reflective storytelling — that’s where growth happens.
